  • Please take a look at the article linked below to understand how the amnesty bill the Senate passed yesterday is a sad betrayal of working class Americans of every ethnicity who will see their wages lowered and their upward mobility lowered too. And yet we still do not have a secured border. This Senate-approved amnesty bill rewards lawbreakers and won’t solve any problems – as the CBO report notes that millions of more illegal immigrants will continue to flood the U.S. in coming years.

Great job, GOP establishment. You’ve just abandoned the Reagan Democrats with this amnesty bill, and we needed them to “enlarge that tent” of which you so often speak. It’s depressing to consider that the House of Representatives is threatening to pass some version of this nonsensical bill in the coming weeks.

Once again, I’ll point out the obvious to you: it was the loss of working class voters in swing states that cost us the 2012 election, not the Hispanic vote. Legal immigrants respect the rule of law and can see how self-centered a politician must be to fill this amnesty bill with favors, earmarks, and crony capitalists’ pork, and call it good. You disrespect Hispanics with your assumption that they desire ignoring the rule of law.

Folks like me are barely hanging on to our enlistment papers in any political party – and it’s precisely because flip-flopping political actions like amnesty force us to ask how much more bull from both the elephants in the Republican Party and the jackasses in the Democrat Party we have to swallow before these political machines totally abandon the average commonsense hardworking American. Now we turn to watch the House. If they bless this new “bi-partisan” hyper-partisan devastating plan for amnesty, we’ll know that both private political parties have finally turned their backs on us. It will then be time to show our parties’ hierarchies what we think of being members of either one of these out-of-touch, arrogant, and dysfunctional political machines.

Thinking about getting your vehicle washed?

Ever see those lovely teens in their skimpy outfits begging you to pull over and have them wash your vehicle? Well if they looked like this lovely lady I'd be going through the line more then once.

Do you also do wax?
Don't forget to wash those hubcaps. Oh yeah, bend over and scrub those wheels. LOL

Video: Trailer for Innocence of Islamic Jihad

Walid Shoebat
June 30, 2013
Some might remember Imran Firasat because he was threatened with deportation from Spain for essentially angering the Muslim world by being part of a video entitled, The Innocent Prophet, which came out late last year. Since then, the country where the former Muslim from Pakistan has been residing – Spain – has given far too much consideration to deporting him.
Even now, Firasat is facing deportation by the government of Spain. It is beyond obvious that the Spanish government is doing so out of cowardice, not principle. The following quote perhaps best demonstrates the Spanish government’s behavior relative to Firasat:
“When bad man combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.” – Edmund Burke
Yet, despite the risk of deportation, Firasat has made another movie entitled, The Innocence of Islamic Jihad.
Here is the trailer:

How’s that “Arab Spring” workin’ out for ya?

Wizbang
June 30, 2013
Well, actually, it’s working out pretty much like the last five “recovery summer’s” have worked out for the US economy. In other words, not so much.
Let’s rewind a bit, to 2009, shortly after the Pretender President took office. Since any semblance of reliable reporting about this administration by US sources is pretty much out of the question, let’s turn to the UK’s The Guardian for a trip down memory lane.
On 4 June 2009 Barack Obama bounded on to the stage at Cairo University to deliver a speech which promised to seek “a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world”. It was, he said solemnly, a time of great tension.
Speaking from a lectern set against a backdrop of plush red curtains, Obama sought to move beyond the toxic legacy of the 9/11 attacks, the US-led invasion of Iraq, the “war on terror” and the long and occasionally bloody impasse on the Palestinian issue.
Expectations were enormous. Even at the time it was hard to imagine that this young African-American president with Muslim roots could meet them all. …
The 55-minute speech was widely praised for its eloquence and ambition, but the reviews were mixed. For one commentator, the key was to get beyond the courtesies – mujamalatin Arabic – to the beef.
In other words, President Obama’s most important friend and advisor – his Tele-Promp-Ter – did a great job. The President reads well, you’ll not find much criticism about that. On the other hand as the article notes prophetically with respect to everything this President has touched, where’s the beef?
In Cairo, Obama touched on the broad issue of political change in a sclerotic Arab world whose rulers sold themselves as guarantors of stability and western interests. That required an especially delicate balance. Watching as he spoke was Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak, a US ally for whom democracy was a dirty word. And Obama had spent the previous night at the desert ranch of the octogenarian King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, the indispensable guardian of cheap western oil supplies.
America, the president said, with a humble nod to these ageing Arab autocrats – and in a lightly coded reference to Bush’s controversial “freedom agenda” – did “not presume to know what is best for everyone”.
Two important points right here. Hosni Mubarak, and Egypt, have been allies of the US in the Middle East for a long time and through some very tough times. That doesn’t necessarily mean that Mubarak is anything approaching a “good guy”, he’s not. He was, however, an Arab leader who generally acted in the best interests of the US in the region, and at the very least, he did not actively oppose US interests. Egypt is also the only Muslim nation in the Middle East that has accepted Israel’s right to exist as a nation.
Obama noted that he didn’t know what was right for everyone, a veiled reference and criticism of President Bush’s “Freedom Agenda”. Whether or not you agree with Bush’s agenda, one thing is certain, President Bush had a very good sense of what was right for the citizens of the US, especially in his administration’s dealings all over the world. The same cannot be said for our current President, and I would expand that to include the idea that he doesn’t know what’s best for Americans here at home either. And he doesn’t give a damn.
After watching five years of his Presidency and reflecting on the years in Chicago prior to his election, Barack Obama is driven by nothing more than a desire, no, a desperate need to be liked. The longer he’s in office, that need to be liked is morphing into a need to be adored. Beyond that fragile surface, there’s not much more than an empty suit. Or chair, Clint Eastwood was right.
Fast forward to September 11, 2012.
As President Obama released a 9/11 message praising the Arab Spring, protesters in Cairo, Egypt were storming the U.S. embassy and ripping down the American flag. In shades of Jimmy Carter’s hostage crisis in 1979 that put the exclamation mark on a failed presidency, the disparity between rhetoric and reality in Obama’s foreign policy will add a precarious dimension to his re-election bid. …
The mainstream media will do their best to bury the Egyptian uprising story the way they buried the “fast and furious” scandal [and Benghazi]. Or else they will attempt to spin the protesters as “far, far, far right religious extremists” and “ultra-conservatives” and thus not representative of the Egyptian populace …
But Barack Obama has been a vocal supporter of the “democratic” Arab Spring movement, which brought to power radical Islamist groups across the Middle East, including the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. President Obama intervened in Egyptian politics to help remove former president Hosni Mubarak, which ushered in martial law and a stand-off between the military government and competing Islamist parties.
A couple of thoughts here. I’m old enough to remember Jimmy Carter. Carter’s overriding trait was, and is, being a coward. He couldn’t make difficult decisions and when he tried, the decision had so much waffle room that it was doomed to failure. That same trait is evident in Obama.
President Obama is probably the most totally out of touch President who’s ever held the office. He’s busy praising the Arab Spring while protesters in Egypt are ripping down the American flag and our Ambassador in Libya is being murdered in Benghazi. Please note that the linked article makes no mention of the YouTube video.
Finally, what sort of warped thought process could drive someone to support a process that would give massive political power to a radical Islamist group like the Muslim Brotherhood?
Fast forward to this week. Think of it as Bummer Summer for the President. First there was the petition in Egypt…
Egypt braced for protests against Islamist President Mohamed Morsi on Sunday, the anniversary of his turbulent first year in office, after a week of violence that has killed eight people, including an American.
US President Barack Obama expressed concern at the mounting violence and urged Morsi to be “constructive” with the opposition.
The grassroots movement Tamarod — Arabic for rebellion — said it has gathered an unverified 22 million signatures of Egyptians who want Morsi to resign and snap elections held.
“Expressed concern…” Mr. Obama’s found his niche. Expressing himself. He won’t be actually “doing” anything. And, the total population of Egypt is 82.5 million.
And yesterday
CAIRO (AP) — Tens of thousands of opponents of Egypt’s Islamist president massed in Cairo’s Tahrir Square and in cities around the country Sunday, launching an all-out push to force Mohammed Morsi from office on the one-year anniversary of his inauguration. Fears of violence were high, with Morsi’s Islamist supporters vowing to defend him.
Waving Egyptian flags, crowds packed Tahrir, the birthplace of the 2011 uprising that toppled autocrat Hosni Mubarak, and chants of “erhal!”, or “leave!” rang out.
On the other side of Cairo, thousands of Islamists gathered in a show of support for Morsi outside the Rabia al-Adawiya Mosque near the Ittihadiya presidential palace, which the opposition planned to march on in the evening. Some Morsi backers wore homemade body armor and construction helmets and carried shields and clubs — precautions, they said, against possible violence.
Here’s the scene in Tahrir Square…
Arab Spring - Tahrir Square
This won’t end well. If you need something to be thankful for today, be glad you’re not working in the US Embassy in Cairo.

Once again we see the UK police arresting those who are assulted while the one who should be arrested is let to run free. Its very clear that the UK has submitted to Islam and its evil ideology. Whats wrong with the British people? Don't they realize that their country is under assault by the left and Islam.

Police catch home invader whose vicious attack on mother in front of her child was caught on the family's nanny cam

June 28, 2013

The suspected robber caught on a nanny cam as he pushed a mother to the floor and beat her in front of her child has been arrested.
Convicted robber Shawn Custis was arrested in Manhattan hours after police released an old mug shot of him to the public.
The 42-year-old now faces charges of attempted murder, robber, burglarly and child endangerment, and is being held on $750,000 bail.
Custis, who was released from prison in December, where he was serving a sentence for burglaries in New Jersey, is believed to be the man behind the vicious assault on the woman in her Milburn, New Jersey home.
Camera footage shows the sickening attack, which took place as the woman's terrified three-year-old daughter cowered on the sofa and her baby boy slept upstairs.
Police say they identified the convicted robber from the nanny cam images, according to the
Daily News.
The woman and her daughter were watching morning cartoons on the couch when bolted front door was kicked in and the helpless mother was savagely attacked.
The woman said she was afraid to cry out in case it made her daughter scream, which would anger her attacker, NBC4 said.

Zimmerman re-enactment video with the police BEFORE he had a lawyer and right after the shooting

GRETAWIRE
6 29, 2013

First, as it stands now, (and ONLY my guess and it is early and much can change) do not expect George Zimmerman to take the witness stand (although he has a Constitutional right to do so if he wants to do so.)
This re-enactment video will help you understand the scene of the shooting according to George Zimmerman and is in his words.    It is also a horrible video for the prosecution.
Right after the shooting, Zimmerman took the police to the scene and talked to them….walked them through the incident.    You will have to sit through a short ad to see the video — but this video is worth watching as it is George Zimmerman in his own words, showing you the scene and before he has a lawyer.   Of course at the time of the video, he (like anyone involved in a shooting) had a motive to slant the facts in his favor but it is noteworthy that the reenactment with the police was done right after the incident and before he had a lawyer.
Here is a potential pitfall Zimmerman faces: he did several interviews with the media (including on Fox News.)  I have not sorted through all his interviews but if in any interview he said something materially different from this one, expect the prosecution to use the material inconsistency (lie?) to argue to the jury that he is a liar.  This is one reason lawyers don’t want their clients talking to the media.  It locks them in.
Will the jury see this re-enactment video?  Maybe not.  If the prosecution wants to show it, the prosecution can.  I doubt the prosecution wants to show this video to the jury.  It damages the prosecution’s case.
Can the defense present it?  Probably not.   In all likelihood, absent Zimmerman taking the stand and subjecting himself to cross examination, the defense can’t just pop it into a player for the jury to see since the prosecution can’t ‘cross examine’ Zimmerman’s statements on the tape and the prosecution has a right to ask questions of evidence / witnesses presented.
The prosecution has the right to introduce the re-enactment video themselves (and other video statements of the defendant) as a statement of the defendant.  However, I doubt the prosecution would want to present this video to the jury (but, see below the red text and you will note the prosecution may be backed into a corner and showing it or risk having the jury think it is hiding evidence from them.)
If the prosecution does not present the video to the jury during the trial (and they won’t want to unless there are other videos out there in stark contrast to make this video look dishonest), here is what I would do as the defense lawyer for Zimmerman:  I would make sure the police officer in the re-enactment video with Zimmerman was asked about it on the witness stand when called as a witness to discuss the investigation. By doing that, I would make sure the jury was aware that the video existed.  I would specifically ask the officer (detective) if the re-enactment had been taped (and of course the answer is yes.)  I would also ask if the prosecution / police have the tape (and the answer is yes.)
Then…in closing argument….assuming the prosecution had not shown the re-enactment video, I would, as Zimmerman’s lawyer, argue to the jury:  ”why didn’t the prosecution show you this re-enactment tape in their possession…taken on the day after the shooting when Zimmerman did not yet have a lawyer? There is a reason and you Members of the Jury all know it….are they hiding something from you?”
Watching the video I get the impression that Zimmerman was giving an honest account of what took place that night. He acted and sounded like a man trying to explain what happened. Also notice the bandages on his head and the bruise on his face. Now ask yourself why the liberal media never bothered to show this video or the bandaged head of Zimmerman the day after the event took place?

VICTORY! Charge dismissed against student who refused to remove NRA t-shirt

TheRightScoop
June 28, 2013
Just how it should end, with the charges dropped. Awesome:

FOX NEWS – The West Virginia eighth-grader arrested after refusing a teacher’s demand he remove a National Rifle Association T-shirt he wore to school won’t face criminal charges after all.
Jared Marcum, 14, was charged with obstruction following the April 18 incident after police who were called to Logan Middle School school said he refused to stop talking. The case generated national headlines, as Marcum’s family and attorney, Ben White, claimed the demand that he remove the NRA shirt violated his right to freedom of speech. On Thursday, Logan County Circuit Judge Eric O’Briant signed an order dismissing the charge.
Marcum’s mother, Tanya Lardieri, told WOWK that she was overcome with emotion after signing a dismissal order relating to the charge. The boy’s father, Allen Lardieri, said the couple is just glad Eric’s legal troubles are behind him.
“It should have come sooner but it’s done and we don’t have to have that concern anymore about him having a criminal record,” Allen Lardieri told WOWK. “I’m just glad that it’s over. His mother is glad it’s over.”

Nanny Cam Shows Intruder Attack NJ Mom in Front of 3-Year-Old Daughter

TV4 New York
June 25, 2013

The woman was kicked more than a dozen times during the assault, which was caught on a nanny cam

Police are searching for the robber who punched and kicked a young mother in front of her 3-year-old daughter before throwing her down the stairs of her home in an upscale New Jersey community, and authorities hope footage of the attack captured on a nanny camera will help identify the intruder.

Millburn Police in Essex County said the woman and her daughter were watching cartoons on the couch, a baby boy asleep upstairs, when the suspect kicked in the dead-bolted door of their Cypress Street home at about 10:30 a.m. Friday and pounced on the mother.

The suspect beat the mother as the little girl watched, punching and kicking the woman at least 16 times before pushing her down the basement stairs, police said.

The assault was captured on a nanny cam. Footage from that camera shows the woman being tossed around and beaten as her daughter (seen as a blur in the video) looks on. The mother stays nearly silent during the end of the attack.

"She stayed quiet because she didn't want to upset the 3-year-old child who was witnessing the whole crime," said Millburn Police Captain Michael Palardy, who called the brutal assault "despicable."

The attacker appears to stop at one point to say something to the child. She was not hurt.

The suspect took off with jewelry and valuables, including the woman's weddings rings and her purse, police said.

The mother was taken to the hospital to be treated for a concussion and bruises to her face and body. She had several chipped teeth and received stitches near her mouth, police said. Her husband was at work in New York City at the time of the attack.

Millburns is regularly ranked as the top school district and one of the most peaceful suburbs in New Jersey. The violence and randomness of the assault has shaken neighbors.

"I've been living here for 25 years, and it's never happened before," said Jackie Friedman.

"I keep thinking about what if it happened to me. What would I do?" wondered Marie Crespi. "I just can't imagine.'

Police consider the man armed and dangerous, and detectives believe he has committed similar crimes in the past. Authorities say he may have chosen the Cypress Street home because he believed it was empty; the shades were drawn and no car was in the driveway.

REPACKAGED AMNESTY BILL ALLOWS NAPOLITANO TO NIX BORDER FENCE

Breitbart
June 22, 2013

Another loophole inserted into the new version of the “Gang of Eight” immigration bill allows Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano (or any of her successors) to nix the construction of a required border security fence if she does not find it to be an "appropriate" use of resources.

The new version of the bill was introduced via a so-called “border surge” amendment from Sens. Bob Corker (R-TN) and John Hoeven (R-ND), with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid repackaging the whole bill into the amendment.
On page 35, line 24 of the new bill, a provision was inserted that says Napolitano--who already believes the border is secure--can decide against building a fence if she chooses not to erect one:
Notwithstanding paragraph (1), nothing in this subsection shall require the Secretary to install fencing, or infrastructure that directly results from the installation of such fencing, in a particular location along the Southern border, if the Secretary determines that the use or placement of such resources is not the most appropriate means to achieve and maintain effective control over the Southern border at such location.
The “paragraph (1)” that new waiver refers to is the one that supposedly “requires” the construction of a fence along the border.
Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall establish a strategy, to be known as the ‘Southern Border Fencing Strategy,’ to identify where 700 miles of fencing (including double-layer fencing), infrastructure, and technology, including at ports of entry, should be deployed along the Southern border,” that paragraph of the bill reads.
This could allow illegal aliens to be granted amnesty, or legalized “Registered Provisional Immigration (RPI)” status, once Secretary Napolitano submits a fencing (and border security) plan to Congress. However, this provision allows Napolitano to decide against building the fence after doing so, with no legal ramifications.
As Breitbart News has already detailed, a similar provision was inserted with regard to border security technology requirements.

Snowden heads to Venezuela via Moscow, Havana: airline source
(Reuters) - Former U.S. National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden will fly from Moscow to Cuba on Monday and then plans to go to Venezuela, a source at the Russian airline Aeroflot said on Sunday.
The source said Snowden was already on his way to Moscow from Hong Kong and would leave for Havana within 24 hours.
The South China Morning Post also reported that Snowden had left Hong Kong for Moscow and that his final destination might be Ecuador or Iceland. The WikiLeaks anti-secrecy website said Snowden was heading for an unnamed "democratic nation".
The flight to Moscow prompted speculation that Snowden might remain in Russia, whose leaders accuse the United States of double standards on democracy and have championed public figures who challenge Western governments.
But Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said he was unaware of Snowden's plans and the Foreign Ministry declined immediate comment on whether he had asked for asylum.
State-run news agency RIA cited an unnamed law enforcement official as saying Russian authorities had "no claims" against Snowden and that there were no orders to detain him.
Interfax news agency cited an unnamed source as saying Snowden apparently did not have a Russian visa, which U.S. citizens need to enter Russia, and that he might not leave the transit area of Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport.

Thamesmead stabbing: Neighbour describes man as ‘great friend’

The disabled man stabbed to death in Thamesmead was described as a ‘great neighbour and friend’ by one of the first people to find him.
Gary Cook, who lives in the flat above Colin Greenaway’s in Abbotts Close, said he rushed down after one of his neighbour’s carers knocked on his doors in floods of tears on Saturday.
The 56-year-old, who was confined to a wheelchair having had toes amputated due to gangrene, was found dead at 2pm, having had his throat cut.
Mr Cook said he still cannot believe what happened, adding he would often share a laugh with Mr Greenaway, and last saw him just two days before he was killed.
He said: “Colin was a neighbour and a friend and I can’t believe what’s happened.
“I’ve known him for about 10 years, he’s helped me out and I’d help him out. Because he was wheelchair-bound I’d go and get something for him at the shop if he needed anything.”
The 46-year-old is now questioning how safe the area is following the events of the weekend.
He said: “I can’t believe something like this could happen in this area, everyone’s so nice. I’ve had to go to my doctor to get some pills because I’m struggling to sleep
“When one of his carers came to my door in tears I got dressed quickly and rushed downstairs. I saw him lying on the floor and he wasn’t breathing.
“It was clear nothing else could be done for him.”
Daha Mohammed, 51, also of Abbotts Close, was charged with the murder of Mr Greenaway and was due to appear at Bexley Magistrates’ Court today.
A post-mortem examination at Greenwich Mortuary gave the cause of death as incised wounds to the throat.

Loophole in Gang of 8 bill gives Napolitano wide discretion to allow almost anyone to stay in U.S.

Legal Insurrection Blog
Posted by     Saturday, June 22, 2013
One of the things I learned from Obamacare was that each section of the law could take many hours to understand because of cross-references to other sections and other laws.  Amendments make the problem even greater.
Put that problem into a 1000+ page  bill, and it is almost impossible to uncover all the mischief — intentional and unintentional — buried in the language, something we are learning after the fact with Obamacare.
The rush to pass the Gang of 8 1000+ page bill is another example.  As if that weren’t bad enough to start, Sen. Bob Corker last night unveiled his 1190-page amendment, and Harry Reid is rushing the first test vote to Monday.  We have seen this movie before.
There is one provision which has not received a lot of press.
Yesterday Dana Loesch had a series of tweets about a section of the original Gang of 8 bill giving the Secretary of Homeland Security almost complete discretion to waive all other provisions of the law as to removal, deportation and inadmissibility.
It took me many hours to run that down and confirm.  And I have done so.
This is extremely dense material.  I’ve extracted and uploaded sections 3214 and 3215 from the May 28 version of the bill (the most recent listed on the Thomas website) along with the Corker amendment (3214 and 3215) as to these sections (which did not change anything relevant to this discussion) so you can read them yourself.  The text references 8 U.S.C. 1182.
Here is the key provision, as part of section 3214(b) dealing with family unification.  The section gives the Secretary discretion to waive the provisions as to removal, deportation and inadmissibility of illegal aliens not just for family ”hardship” (which itself is huge) but for any reason the Secretary deems in the ”public interest.”
I have highlighted and marked the key portion of the section to point out key wording:
Gang of 8 Immigration Bill Section 3214 Discretion of Secretary Title
Gang of 8 Immigration Bill Section 3214(b) Discretion of Secretary marked
The section goes on to take discretion away from the Secretary for aliens who have committed certain specified crimes, but otherwise the Secretary can do pretty much whatever she wants in terms of waiving removal or deportation of a person attempting to enter the country or in the country illegally based on her determination of the “public interest.”
There are similar provisions in section 3215 as to admissibility into the United States.
The section not only guarantees that a single family member being lawfully in the country will allow the full immediate family to stay, but it also will provide the Secretary — Janet Napolitano now — with broad discretion to allow anyone to stay for almost any reason.
I’m not sure if somewhere in our current immigration laws the Secretary has such discretion.  Regardless, the Gang of 8 bill and the Corker amendment are supposed to provide public guarantees that the laws will be enforced as written, but in fact there is a loophole large enough to drive a political agenda through.
There is every reason to expect this discretion to be abused to widen amnesty.
We have seen how the Obama administration unlawfully refused to enforce the immigration laws as to removal proceedings, as a federal judge found.
Now they want you to trust that they will not waive enforcement of other provisions in the name of what they deem to be the public interest.
The rush to a vote in the Senate does not allow time to fully understand all the provisions.  And that’s why the rush is taking place.
